I imagine anybody would get use from this training, even someone who feels 100% put together and is fully self-aware (which I’m not sure exists). Part of the course is learning to recognize the strengths/weaknesses of others in terms of task/time management, which can foster a more collaborative, understanding, and gracious workplace. Honestly, it would probably be at its greatest benefit for everyone to take it; not just for the insight but to have the perspective and vocabulary to talk about these things with one another.

1. Brain-based Time Management
Fee: $149
find out how your brain works (and what it needs to get things done)
We often feel that we have too much to do and not enough time to do it in. Imagine finishing your workday with confidence that you remembered and handled everything you needed to. With brain-based time management, that’s possible!
Get concrete tools and strategies to stay on track and on time, plan your day/week, and prioritize your workload. And most importantly, find out what your brain needs to get you through the day with ease, enjoyment, and energy.
NOTE: If you sign up at least 5 business days before the class, a workbook will be mailed to you. Otherwise you’ll receive a PDF link to the workbook.
I took your workshop last year and I wanted to thank you for it, since it may have saved my life. After the workshop I finally got organized enough to go and see my doctor for a concern I had had for several months. It turned out to be a very serious issue! And who knows what would have happened if I didn’t take this workshop and got to do the important things in my life. So thank you! This workshop may have saved my life.

Mary Ellen Baker provided realistic, useful strategies combined with education in executive function to empower those in the class to improve our efficiency AND calm/mindfulness. I have tried classes like this before, and this is by far the biggest “bang for the buck.”

2. Brain-based Planning
We recommend this class after Time Management
Fee: $149
Are you overwhelmed by your To Do list?
This class will help you get a handle on how to manage an overflowing list of tasks. Many people think they should “just remember” everything that needs to get done… but the brain isn’t wired to categorize task lists and remind us of what we need to do at just the correct time… (Think of all the really important things you remember in the middle of the night.)
In this live, hands-on three-hour class, you will begin to create your own Master List of tasks, learn how to break a project into steps (and understand why your brain needs this), get strategies to deal with interruptions/distractions, and leave with an easy-to-follow action plan.
NOTE: If you sign up at least 5 business days before the class, a workbook will be mailed to you. Otherwise, you will receive a link to download a workbook (PDF).
Class Dates:
March 21: 10:00am – 1:00pm
April 14: 9:00am – 12:00pm
July 14: 10:00am – 1:00pm

Testimonials
This was a great class that reminded me of some organizational tools I should be using but more importantly grounded the advice in psychological & neurological principles that helped them make sense.

Director of SEO & CROI’ve used your worksheets and got so much done before 9 am this morning! I didn’t realize how overwhelming a to do list is without the time circles! Having the circle there reminds me to allocate time segments to each task. I’ve also started using the time cube with my son and I’m realizing how important it is to use it with him so he doesn’t grow up with a warped sense of time. This morning, I set the time for 15 minutes for screen time and he said it felt like 5 minutes. I assured him that it was a full 15 minutes.

The class was very informative. I appreciated having material to look over, and that we worked on together throughout the class. The pace was perfect in terms of feeling comfortable to ask questions as they came up, and felt safe enough to not feel shame/embarrassed by our questions. Mary Ellen was knowledgeable, welcoming, and engaging. I really appreciated the follow-up emails with further documents and information.
