The Time Professionals teach brain-based classes in time management, organization and planning.
These courses are different from other soft-skill classes because our curriculum starts with learning about the brain’s natural tendencies. When you understand the strengths and weaknesses of your own executive function skills, you know where to begin supporting your brain to get things done.
Sign up for one of our online Time Management or Planning classes or contact us to find out more about our customized trainings for your business or organization. We can bring our existing curriculum to you – or create a personalized training just for your team. We regularly teach all over the Portland Metro area, Vancouver, Salem as well as Northern California and are now offering full trainings online.
I’ve heard several mentions from our staff of the helpful takeaways they received as a result of participating in this training. We appreciated hearing, and actually felt some relief in knowing that executive function skills have nothing to do with intelligence or IQ. 😊
The practical information about how we can support our brains, the self-assessment of our executive functions and the specific strategies to increase productivity were most helpful. Although many of the strategies were familiar to us – we were not aware of specific strategies for specific brain skill weaknesses. In addition, we appreciated your friendly approachable style of teaching as well as your knowledge of the subject and practical examples.

Time Management and the Brain
Everyone has strengths as well as weaknesses in the area of time management. Our brain-based approach will give you the tools and strategies that offer support where you need it the most.
The brain’s executive functions control what we do, when we do it and how we get it done. As we age, our working memory, problem-solving ability and flexibility are negatively impacted. Are you overloaded and not accomplishing what you need to?
Our brains are for creative ideas, deep thinking and strategic planning. How do you use yours?
If you are like most people, you use your brainpower for keeping track of life’s details: scheduling, making/replaying To Do lists, and trying to remember “stuff”… and all of this is done with ever-increasing stress. These time management classes and training will teach you how to:
- Show up on time with ease
- Stop losing time
- Plan your day effectively and efficiently
- Start on tasks you keep putting off
- Plan for future events
When you keep time and task in order, the stress naturally lessens.
Here’s What Our Students Say…
Mary Ellen Baker created a customized time management training for my non-profit sales and support team. She worked diligently for many months by meeting with myself and my managers to create a training that would teach my team the skills they needed. The training she created was perfect! For adult-learners she built in many exercises to keep them challenged and engaged. Though the training was in late 2017, many of my team members are still utilizing the techniques she taught us. I think my team is more efficient and organized overall since taking her training.

I’ve struggled my whole life with distraction and procrastination, especially in work situations with challenging, unclear projects and tasks. I spent a couple of afternoons with Mary Ellen figuring out what was getting in my way . . . and what I could do about it. I’ve since implemented several of the tools that I learned from her and things are much improved! And she was fun to work with. Highly recommended for anyone with similar challenges.
~ Bill Hefferman
Mary Ellen has made my life so much more productive! She also taught me valuable brain-based time management techniques on how to allocate my business schedule effectively, and now I have much less stress and worry.
I wish I’d seen her years ago.
